Pasadena Humane and Arlington Garden are teaming up to celebrate the first day of spring with Saturday, March 21. Greet the season and drop in between between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. to check out wildlife observation resources and learn nature journaling techniques as you explore the garden at your own pace. Certified California Naturalist Eduardo Ochoa-Guijarro of the Pasadena Humane Wildlife Team will be at the garden with a table full of resources, and is happy to chat with you about the some of the plants and wildlife in the garden that you findl
Participants of all experience levels are encouraged to share their knowledge and use community science tools like eBird, Merlin Bird ID, and iNaturalist, as citizen scientists and contributors to documenting urban wildlife at Arlington Garden.
We will have a small selection of paper, pencils, clipboards, binoculars, and field guidebooks available for use. Feel free to bring your preferred supplies, such as personal scopes, binoculars, cameras, journaling materials, and a foldable camping chair you can move around the garden for optimal viewing!
