Event Details

Learn regenerative gardening by doing it yourself with other rad volunteers! This Weekend Workshops event will meet on April 30 from 10:00am to 12:00pm to harvest and shell the beans in our regenerative fava bean patch for cooking! Volunteers who help with the harvest will learn about regenerative edible gardening, harvesting edible plants, soil health and the importance of cover crops, and even fava bean preparation! Sign up here! If you have been planning to volunteer in the garden, get outside more, learn about regenerative gardening, or meet rad people, this is a great opportunity! NOTE: Despite being a dietary staple for thousands of years in the Mediterranean Basin, Middle East, and Africa, please be aware that fava beans (also called "broad beans") can trigger a severe reaction in people who possess the genetic condition called "favism." If you have not consumed, handled, or been exposed to fava beans or their pollen in the past, please exercise caution.
