Event Details

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the garden! The first Tuesday of every month at 12:00pm will be a short program that provides helpful training for new volunteers. As part of this orientation, we will review the core principles informing Arlington Garden. We will discuss regenerative gardening, rainwater harvesting and catchment, habitat gardening, mulching, composting, and climate appropriate planting. After discussing these principles in the orientation, new volunteers will learn how to put them into practice each week. Time permitting, we will briefly overview tool maintenance and safety. If you wish to start volunteering for the first time, attending the orientation is mandatory before you begin. However, all volunteers (particularly veteran volunteers who are interested in learning more about regenerative gardening, or volunteers who haven't been by the garden in a long time) are very welcome to attend.
