As part of our monthly Roots & Regeneration series, Noriko Smallwood M.S. will lead a tour of Arlington Garden in Pasadena on Saturday, December 11th from 9:00AM to 10:00AM. She will share her knowledge of wildlife-friendly landscaping and discuss her fascinating master's research, "The influence of native plant landscaping on urban wildlife in Southern California residential yards." Noriko will discuss the natural history of the area and how it relates to current landscaping practices. During the tour, Noriko will point out plants, birds, insects, and landscape features, so bring binoculars if you have them! She will also discuss wildlife-friendly landscaping that you can implement in your own yard and will provide resources on where to learn more about native landscaping!
