Event Details

**MOVED ONLINE DUE TO RAIN** On Saturday, February 3rd from 11:00am to 12:00pm attend a fascinating *free* discussion with Farmer Rishi Kumar about Nature and our (that is—human beings) relationship to the Earth! Although the event is free, attendees must sign-up in advance. “For centuries, Western civilization has defined humanity in opposition to Nature. This idea is now baked into the English language, shaping the way we think about, feel, and relate to Earth. In this session, Farmer Rishi will guide participants around this binary, reductive view, and towards the reality of what he calls our single EarthBody.” Farmer Rishi is a small-scale farmer, land-artist, writer, and educator. Since 2010, he has been working in the field of urban gardening and farming in Los Angeles, where he has helped create and establish hundreds of urban gardens. His work centers on the healing of people and Earth as one body. Rishi is the Executive Director of Sarvodaya Institute and the Co-founder and Chief Gardening Officer of Healing Gardens Community.
