Welcome the first morning of every other month this fall with a free hour long BirdSit hosted by the Pasadena Audubon Society. A bird sit is a period of time spent quietly observing birds, their vocalizations, and their movements as a mindfulness practice. Birds recently seen at Arlington Garden include Townsend's Warbler, Allen's Hummingbird, Oak Titmouse...and even a Red-Shouldered Hawk eating a lizard for breakfast in the branches of the garden's large coast live oak. Quiet your mind by opening your eyes and ears to the birds around you as you greet the morning with us. Feel free to bring a pillow or a blanket to get comfortable. The sit will begin promptly at 8:30am for optimal observing. No need to RSVP, just stop in!
Founded in 1904 and affiliated with the National Audubon Society, the mission of Pasadena Audubon Society is to bring the excitement of birds to our community through birding, education and the conservation of bird habitats.
