Join us for Listen to the Otherworld Speak: A Celebration of Life and Death in the Soil!  Arlington Garden welcomes our friends from Planet Earth Observatory for an enchanting evening of performance and exploration as we delve deep into the cycle of life that exists within our soil. Come dressed as your favorite soil critter— if you dare! — and celebrate the symbiosis of all living things through storytelling, science, art, poetry and music.  Poet-performance artists extraordinaire of the Los Angeles Poetry Society Linda Ravenswood, Christina Cha, Sara Harris Ben Ari, and Bernadette McComish will take on the personas of some of the intriguing soil critters who make life (and death) possible on earth. They'll be accompanied by Lynn Fang and Mick Lorusso's microbial projection with music by Compost Jam. Before the performance, get in the mood with DJ Likely Biking. Have a chat with Aaron Tupac of the Mycoverse, check out John Craig's worm farm, cuddle up with Diablo the Desert Beetle in the soil critter petting zoo,  local nonprofit Friends in Deed Food Pantry, and more at this adult-oriented, kid-friendly event.
  • Tickets are available for $15 or 2 for $20 on Eventbrite and at the door.

  • Parking/Transportation: The garden is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with limited street parking only. Please be mindful and quiet when walking to and from the garden, especially after 8pm. We strongly encourage carpooling, public transit, rideshare, walking, and/or bike when possible. The garden is located a 15 minute walk from the Metro Fillmore Station!  If you drive, please park in the surrounding neighborhood and or the section of Arlington Drive that is closest to the garden to minimize impact on our neighbors.
