Nature Around Us: Nature Journal Writing and Drawing Workshop

Nature Journaling is the sweet spot between art, science, observation, and curiosity! This introductory two hour hands-on workshop is organized and facilitated by Terri Mando of the Shadow Hills Nature Journal Club. It will benefit Arlington Garden's recovery from the fire in the work shed and volunteer hub in May. Record nature observations using words, pictures and numbers using an educational framework developed and taught by John Muir Laws and Wild Wonder Foundation. Plus, explore the 5-basic component skills of drawing developed by Betty Edwards, author of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. All materials you need to participate are provided in a fun tote bag package, provided thanks to the generosity of Shadow Hills Nature Journal Club. Please bring a camping chair or stool if you'd like! This paid workshop is organized to benefit Arlington Garden to help the garden recover from losing the storage shed in the May fire.
