Event Details

Local LA artist and mushroom cultivator wizard Sam Shoemaker will join our community science partner Exploring the Mycoverse for a discussion about mycomaterials! You won't want to miss this, seating is limited! From the organizer Aaron Tupac-Thompson: "Following group discussions of Merlin Sheldrake's book Entangled Life last year, we were introduced to the world of fungi used as materials to replace plastics and building materials, otherwise known as mycomaterials. Here we will take a deeper dive into the reading, screen some short documentaries, and listen to a presentation on mycomaterials."
